Eligibility Criteria for UNICAL Post-UTME/Direct Entry Screening
The following candidates are eligible to apply for the University of Calabar (UNICAL) Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening:
- First Choice Candidates: Individuals who selected UNICAL as their first choice institution during the 2025/2026 JAMB UTME and achieved a minimum score of 140.
- Change of Institution Candidates: Applicants who initially chose another institution but now wish to make UNICAL their first choice. Such candidates must have also scored a minimum of 140 in the 2025/2026 JAMB UTME and are required to complete the official Change of Institution process through the JAMB website.
UNICAL Post-UTME/Direct Entry Application Procedure
Candidates should follow these steps to apply for the UNICAL Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening:
Payment Options:
- E-Transact: Visit any commercial bank across Nigeria to make payment and receive an E-transact PIN.
- Post UTME PIN (Online Purchase): Purchase a Post-UTME pin directly through the UNICAL portal.
Application Process:
- Log in to the official UNICAL portal.
- Click on the “UTME Admission Screening” link.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your application.
- If you paid via E-Transact, use the obtained PIN to log in.
- If you purchased the Post-UTME pin online, use the TRANSACTION ID as your login PIN.
Steps to Complete Your UNICAL Post-UTME/Direct Entry Application
- Log On: Navigate to the UNICAL portal and click on the “UTME Admission Screening” link.
- Enter Details: Enter your JAMB Registration Number and either your CONFIRMATION ORDER NUMBER (if you used the E-Transact option) or your TRANSACTION ID (if you purchased the pin online).
- Login and Follow Instructions: Proceed to log in and carefully fill out the application form. Ensure all information provided is accurate before submitting.
- Print: Once you have submitted the form, make sure to print a copy for your personal records.
