How to Check Your SSU Admission Status
The two primary platforms for confirming your admission status are the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) and the SSU Admissions Portal.
Step 1: The JAMB CAPS Confirmation (MANDATORY)
All admissions must be accepted on the JAMB platform, which serves as the final confirmation authority.
- Visit the JAMB e-Facility Portal
- Log In: Enter your JAMB Registration Number and Password.
- Switch to Desktop View: If using a phone, ensure your browser is set to Desktop Site to access the full features.
- Access CAPS: Click on ‘Check Admission Status’ and then click the button for ‘Access my CAPS’.
- Review Status: Go to the ‘Admission Status’ tab.
- If Admitted: You will see the message: “Congratulations, you have been offered Provisional Admission.”
- If Still Processing: If you see “Admission Still In Progress,” keep checking; the list is often uploaded in batches.
- Accept Your Offer: If you are admitted, you must click ‘ACCEPT ADMISSION’ to secure your slot. Failure to accept within the required period may lead to the forfeiture of your admission.

Crucial Next Steps for Admitted Candidates
Your journey is not over yet! You must complete the following steps to become a fully matriculated student:
1. Pay the Acceptance Fee
This is the first financial commitment you must make to indicate your acceptance of the admission offer.
- Log in to the SSU portal and locate the link for ‘Acceptance Fee Payment’.
- Generate the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) or payment invoice.
- Proceed to make the payment (usually via bank transfer, card payment on the portal, or bank branch deposit).
- Print the Acceptance Fee Receipt.
2. Prepare for Physical/Online Clearance
SSU will release a schedule for the screening and clearance of admitted candidates. You must attend with the required original documents.
