Admission Requirements

To qualify for admission into any of the programmes, candidates must possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

  • UTME Score: Candidates must have obtained a minimum score of 150 in the 2024 JAMB UTME.
  • Change of Institution: Candidates must effect a ‘Change of Institution/Course’ to the University on the Niger on the JAMB Portal on or before 30th September 2024.
  • Communication: Use accessible email addresses and GSM numbers for easy communication.
  • Verification: Any false information discovered during the screening will lead to automatic disqualification.

Mode of Payment and Application

Eligible candidates are required to pay a processing fee of N2,000 only.

Steps to Register

  1. Visit the Website: Go to the University website UNINIGER and navigate to “ADMISSIONS” in the top menu.
  2. Apply Now: Click on “Apply Now” under the Admission dropdown list.
  3. Fill the Form: Complete the Application Purchase Form and make an online payment for the application. Ensure the email provided is valid and accessible, as it will be used for further communication. Your JAMB number will serve as your password.
  4. Complete the Application: Visit the website again, click on “ADMISSION,” and select “CONTINUE APPLICATION” to fill out and submit your application form. Use your payment email and JAMB Registration Number to check your admission status.

The screening process for the 2024/2025 academic session at the University on the Niger (UNINIGER) will be rigorously conducted based on a comprehensive assessment of the candidate’s performance in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and a thorough verification of their O’Level results, emphasizing the critical importance of ensuring that all O’Level results are accurately uploaded onto the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) by the stipulated deadline of 30th September 2024, as applications submitted without the requisite uploaded results will not be considered for further processing.
