This is to inform all 2024/2025 prospective students of University of Abuja who applied to study the underlisted courses that there is no longer vacancy in their chosen course, but they may however choose from any of the courses listed below
UNI-ABUJA ADVICE STUDENT TO CHANGE THEIR COURSE
Candidate are advised to visit any CBT centre or JAMB Office closest to them to change to any of the underlisted courses on their JAMB PORTAL, thereafter, they are expected to do same on the university portal. Note that ONLY candidates who adhere to instructionwill be considered for admission.
Please re-upload your O’level on your jamb portal and refresh at any CBT center close to you. You are advised to carefully study the subject combination for each course before you make your choice.
The change of course window is open from 9th of Monday to16th December, 2024

REQUIREMENTS FOR UNIABUJA PHYSICAL SCREENING
- UofA Post UTME Slip with Screening Result
- School Provisional Admission Letter/ Admission Notification Slip
- Certificate of Birth/ Affidavit or Declaration of Age
- Certificate of Origin
- Original JAMB Result
- Original O’level Result (if ready) if not, normal print out only.
- UofA Post UTME Receipt
- Acceptance Fee Receipt
- Form 01 & Form 02 (to be gotten from UniAbuja Portal)
- Scratch Card (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB or any one used)
- JAMB Choice of Institution Slip
- Letter of Undertaking
- Passport Photograph (at least 8 copies)
- UNIABUJA School flat file (to be bought in School)
- Original JAMB Admission letter (If ready)
- NDLEA DRUG TEST Result to be done at any Government Approved Hospital.

Uni Abuja: ADMISSION UPDATE
If you come across this post, I want you to read it thoroughly and understand it, then share it.
ISSUES OF MERIT ADMISSION.
Dear aspirants, we should understand that the basis for admission is categorized into three 3.
*The Merit
*The Catchment
*The ELDS
- Merit list; The merit list consists of candidates with the highest score in Jamb score and Good grades in 5 relevant subjects in their field of study.
The post utme score includes only O’level relevant subjects because it is over 50% while the second 50% comes from your jamb score which is over 400.
This means that, some candidates will beat the 50% score of Jamb score but the other 50% which comes from O’level is not meet, making you not to get admitted on merit.
For instance 300/400 Jamb score.
Then 5 C6’s in relevant O’level, of course you have 40% of Jamb required cut off, but 5 C’s will only give you 15% post utme score in uniabuja portal.
Added together with your jamb score still cannot make merit. Eg 40+15= 55/100 total. Still not upto merit in competitive courses.
So like i always said, we should be patient and trust the process, don’t say favoritism this and that.
- RUMORS OF FILLED COURSES.
Yes, this isn’t merely just a rumor, the university of abuja has had the highest number of applicants in its history of application.
Making the process more uneasy and causing some courses to be already filled up in the merit list.
Meaning that, after the merit list, we might no longer see admission in those courses.
Eg, Nursing, Med.lab MBBS etc. - ISSUES OF ADVISED COURSES.
Prior to 2024/2025 admissions.
The Admission committee changes course for candidates from applied course to another suitable course because of reason of no more vacant space to admit in that faculty/department.
However, this year will be different, the admission committee in coming week will announce list of courses that are vacant and list of courses already filled up, so that candidates that applied for those courses will proceed to jamb and make those changes while the university recommend them to the new one.
Now some candidates may ask why?
The admission committee understands that, some students after being recommended to course which they didn’t apply, if they don’t end up doing well in that course, they end up blaming the school for giving them what they did not apply.
So as soon as you see the advert for vacant courses and the courses not vacant and you find your applied course there, I advise you to quickly proceed to jamb and make that change to the best course that suits you.
The window will not be opened for more than a week.
Like i said in my last update, the merit list is already over and currently going through catchment areas.
We will see candidates from Benue, kogi already reeling out in subsequent list.
Lastly, beware of scammers, don’t pay money to any online professor for admission.
The admission has just begun and there’s a long way to go.
