The National Examination Council (NECO) released the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results on July 9, 2025 while the NECO result for June/July for 2025 Is supposed to be released on or before September 15, 2025.. You can check your result online via the NECO result-checking portal at https://results.neco.gov.ng/) Here’s how:

  • Step 1: Visit the NECO Result Portal: Go to (https://results.neco.gov.ng/).
  • Step 2: Enter Your Details: Input your Examination Year (2025), Examination Type (SSCE Internal), Token Number, and Registration Number.
  • Step 3: Check Your Result: Click the “Check My Result” button and wait for the results window to display your results.

Alternatively, you can check your NECO result via SMS. To do this:

  • Step 1: Compose a New Message: Open your messaging app and type “NECO” followed by your Exam Year (2025), Pin Number, and Number.
  • Step 2: Send the Message: Send the message to the official NECO result-checking SMS number.
  • Step 3: Receive Your Result: You’ll receive a response containing your SSCE 2025 result

Adjusted 2025 SSCE External Timetable

This is the examination taken by candidates in their last stage of Secondary School Education. The SSCE is in two categories; one is for candidates in the third and final year of their Senior Secondary Education and it is called SSCE Internal while the second is SSCE External and is for candidates that are not in the school system, i.e. private candidates

The registration for the NECO External (GCE) 2025 examination is now closed, including the period for late registration. The exam is scheduled to start later this year.
