The application portal for the Bauchi State University, Gadau (BASUG), now known as Sa’adu Zungur University, is open for the 2025/2026 academic session. The online screening starts on If you chose Sa’adu Zungur University (formerly Bauchi State University) as your first choice and scored 140 or above in the 2025 JAMB/UTME, you can apply for the screening.

The online screening process for the Post-UTME and Direct Entry admissions has already commenced. The official closing date for the registration is yet to be announced by the university. It is best to register as soon as possible.

Post-UTME Screening

The university does not conduct a physical Post-UTME exam. The screening is done online, based on your submitted credentials and your JAMB score.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Bauchi State University, Gadau (BASUG) Post-UTME screening, you must have achieved a minimum UTME score of 140 in the 2025 examination. You must also have at least five relevant O’ level credits, including both English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings. Additionally, you must have sat for the correct UTME subject combination that is relevant to your chosen course of study.

For Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

For Direct Entry admission, candidates must have a minimum of five O’level credits, which must include English and Mathematics. Additionally, you are required to have at least 7 points in IJMB or NCE, or have obtained at least a lower credit in your National Diploma (ND).

Candidates awaiting O’ level results should indicate “AWAITING RESULT (AR)” in the grades column on the form and provide the results during the physical screening once available.

Mode of Payment

Eligible candidates should create accounts and pay N2,000 for the screening exercise through the online screening portal. Visit the BASUG Screening Portal to complete this process.
