Who Can Apply for FUTO Post-UTME/DE?
FUTO Post UTME Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the screening, candidates must have chosen FUTO as their first-choice institution in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE). You must also have a minimum UTME score of 150. However, candidates who did not initially select FUTO as their first choice can still apply for the screening, provided they meet the minimum score requirement and change their first-choice institution to FUTO on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

Screening Process
The screening will be based on verified JAMB scores and WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB results uploaded on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
Important Notices
In order to be considered for admission, it is crucial that you ensure your details on the JAMB CAPS portal are consistent with your Post-UTME application. You must also use a valid mobile number and e-mail address, as these will be used for all official communication. Be sure to upload your O’Level results on JAMB CAPS by September 30, 2025, as only candidates who successfully submit their complete applications online will be considered for the screening exercise.
For Direct Entry Candidates
- Ensure academic transcripts reach the Registrar, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, by 16 September 2025.
- Failure to submit transcripts will result in disqualification.
Application and Payment Procedure
To apply, follow these steps:
To apply, you can either visit the FUTO website and navigate to the “Prospective Students” section or use the provided direct link to the Post-UTME/DE application portal. From there, click “Generate invoice” and enter your JAMB Registration Number to create a payment invoice with a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number. You can then pay the N2,000.00 processing fee at any bank or by using an ATM card.
After making the payment, return to the FUTO application portal, click on “Application Form,” and log in with your JAMB Registration Number to complete the form. Once you have confirmed and submitted your application, be sure to print your acknowledgement slip and await further communication from the University.
