FUNAAB 2025/2026 Post-UTME Screening: A Guide for Applicants

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is now inviting applications for its Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. This applies to candidates seeking admission into undergraduate programmes at FUNAAB and its affiliated institutions, including the Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan (FCAIB) and Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igbo-Ora (OYSCATECH).


Eligibility and Application Procedure

All candidates who chose FUNAAB or any of its affiliated institutions as their first-choice on the JAMB portal are eligible to apply.

Application Fee:

A total non-refundable fee of ₦3,000 is required, which includes a ₦2,000 screening fee and a ₦1,000 portal access fee, excluding bank charges.

Application Steps:

  1. Generate an Invoice: Go to the FUNAAB Admission Portal and enter your JAMB Registration Number to generate your application invoice.
  2. Make Payment: Pay the fee at any bank that accepts REMITA or online using a debit card or internet banking.
  3. Complete the Form: Return to the portal, log in, and fill out the e-application form. Note that personal details from your JAMB profile cannot be altered.
  4. Submit and Print: Carefully review all your details on the final acknowledgement page before submitting the form. Be sure to print and keep a copy of your application form.

Important Notes for Applicants

Admission to FUNAAB is highly competitive. Successful candidates will be admitted through the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).

After admission, all new students must take part in a mandatory ICT Training and Orientation Programme. This program is designed to prepare you for university life and the academic requirements at FUNAAB.

FUNAAB 2025/2026 Admission: Eligibility for Screening

To be considered for admission into the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) and its affiliated institutions for the 2025/2026 academic session, you must meet the following criteria:


General O’Level Requirements

All applicants must have a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects, which can be obtained in one or two sittings from WASSCE, NECO, GCE, NABTEB. It is essential to check the FUNAAB Brochure to confirm the specific subject requirements for your chosen programme before you apply.


Eligibility for UTME Candidates

If you are a UTME candidate, you must have chosen FUNAAB or any of its affiliated institutions as your first-choice on the JAMB form. Additionally, you must have scored a minimum of 160 in the 2025 UTME.


Eligibility for Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

You must ensure that your official academic transcripts (for OND/HND/NCE candidates) or a certified true copy of your Statement of Results (for A’Level candidates) are submitted to the Office of the Registrar, FUNAAB, no later than Friday, August 15, 2025.

You must have chosen FUNAAB or its affiliated institutions as your first-choice on your JAMB DE form.

You are required to have a minimum of an Upper-Credit or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

Change of Institution/Course

Requests for changes should be directed to JAMB.

How to Request a Change of Institution on the JAMB Portal

If you need to change your first-choice institution or course, you can do so through the JAMB e-Facility portal. This process is mandatory for all candidates who wish to be considered for admission by a university they did not initially select.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to complete the process:

  1. Log in to Your JAMB Profile:
    • Visit the official JAMB e-Facility portal.
    • Enter your email address and password to log into your profile.
  2. Locate the “Correction of Data” Service:
    • On your dashboard, find and select the “Correction of Data” tab from the menu on the left.
    • Click on “Change of Course/Institution” to proceed.
  3. Generate a Payment Invoice:
    • You will be prompted to make a payment. The fee for this service is ₦2,500.
    • Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and either pay online with your ATM card or print the invoice and make the payment at any commercial bank.
  4. Fill out the Change of Institution Form:
    • After your payment is confirmed, the portal will allow you to access the form.
    • Select your new preferred institution and the course you wish to change to. You can choose up to two new institutions and two new courses.
  5. Finalise and Print Your Slip:
    • After filling out the form, click the “Submit” button.
    • Your change of institution is now complete. Make sure to print the Change of Institution Slip, as this document serves as official proof of your request.

Important Reminders:

  • Before you start, ensure that the Post-UTME/admission form for your new institution is still on sale.
  • You must also meet the new institution’s UTME cut-off mark to be eligible.

How to Apply for FUNAAB Post-UTME/Direct Entry

Here is a step-by-step guide to help you with the online application for the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

  • Generate Your Application Invoice: Go to the official FUNAAB Admission Portal and enter your JAMB UTME or Direct Entry registration number. This will generate an invoice with your REMITA Reference Number and the payment details for the non-refundable fee of ₦2,000.
  • Make Payment: You can pay the fee at any bank that accepts REMITA or online using your debit card or an internet banking service via the Remita website.
