Who is Eligible to Apply? (Key Requirements)

The screening exercise is open to candidates who chose FUTIA as their institution of choice and those willing to effect a change of institution to FUTIA on the JAMB portal.

1. UTME Candidates

  • JAMB Score: Candidates must have achieved at least the approved minimum pass mark in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Based on previous announcements, a score of 160 or above is generally required.
  • Institution Choice: Candidates who made FUTIA their First Choice Institution are eligible.
  • Change of Institution: Candidates who did not choose FUTIA as their first choice but scored the minimum required mark (e.g., 160) can also apply, on the condition that they visit the JAMB CAPS portal and change their First (1st) choice to FUTIA.

2. General Academic Requirements (Both UTME & DE)

  • Candidates MUST possess a minimum of five (5) relevant subjects at credit level in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or equivalent (e.g., WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) in not more than two (2) sittings.
  • These subjects MUST include English Language and Mathematics, along with three other subjects relevant to your chosen course of study.
  • Awaiting Results (AR): Candidates with awaiting results may apply but must ensure that their O’Level (WAEC/NECO) results are uploaded appropriately to the JAMB Portal (CAPS) through a JAMB-approved CBT Centre as soon as the results are released.

Your Step-by-Step Registration Guide

The application process is entirely online. Follow these steps carefully to complete your screening registration:

Step 1: Visit the FUTIA Application Portal

Step 2: Initiate Application

  • On the portal, look for and click on the link/button to “Apply Now” or “Click here to apply.”
  • Select the “Undergraduate” link/option.

Step 3: Enter UTME Details

  • Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click on “Get Details” or “Continue.”

Step 4: Complete Basic Information

  • Complete the basic information form that appears. Crucially, ensure you enter a valid and active phone number and email address, as these will be the primary channels of communication from the university.
  • Click “Next” to proceed.

Step 5: Payment

  • On the Payment Review Page, click on “Make Payment.” This will redirect you to the payment platform.
  • Provide your ATM card details (Mastercard, Visa, or Verve) and other necessary information.
  • Follow the prompt to receive the “OTP code” (One-Time Password) on your phone and enter it to complete the transaction.

Step 6: Final Registration

  • After a successful payment, return to the FUTIA portal and click on “Main Login.”
  • Log in using your JAMB Registration Number as your username and your Surname (in CAPITAL or UPPERCASE) as the initial password.
  • Click the “Login” button and proceed to complete your full registration, including uploading any required documents and biographical data.

Step 7: Print Documents

  • Ensure you print out your completed registration form and the payment receipt. Keep these documents safe, as you’ll need them for the physical screening/clearance process if admitted.

  • Qualified applicants and their parents are strongly advised to avoid dealing with unauthorized agents or making any unofficial payments to individual accounts. Doing so is entirely at your own risk.
